The BC Lions of the Canadian Football League ended the 1998 season with a record of 9 wins and 9 losses for 18 points, finishing third in the CFL's West Division. The team compiled a postseason mark of 0-1.

The Lions stumbled, scoring only 394 points, though they the defense conceded 427. Damon Allen led the charge, slinging for 3,519 yards. Rod Harris topped the receiving corps, grabbing 48 passes for 799 yards. Al Shipman and Eddie Brown contributed to the receiving game as well.

Juan Johnson carried the ball for a team-leading 973 yards for BC, while Damon Allen also contributed to the rushing attack.

The ball-hawking defense created 61 turnovers, best in the league. Mustafah Muhammad snatched 10 opponent throws. Johnny Scott paced the defensive unit with 13 quarterback sacks.

Greg Mohns and Adam Rita coached the team. The 1998 BC Lions lost in the Division Semifinal.
