Defensively, the Eskimos led the league with just 421 points allowed. Edmonton scored 453 points. Ricky Ray directed the offense, passing for 5,510 yards. Derrell Mitchell paced pass catchers, snagging 94 passes, while Jason Tucker accumulated 1,411 receiving yards, while Trevor Gaylor contributed to the receiving game, too.

Troy Davis ran for a team-best 359 yards, while Ron McClendon and Ricky Ray additionally aided the ground game.

Shannon Garrett and Kelly Wiltshire each intercepted 3 errant tosses from the opposition. Joe Montford topped the defensive unit with 10 quarterback sacks, topping a defense credited with 47 sacks.

Danny Maciocia coached the team. The 2005 Edmonton Eskimos won the Grey Cup.
