Doug DeCinces paced California with 26 home runs, while Brian Downing, Reggie Jackson, Ruppert Jones and Wally Joyner each walloped 20 or more, too. Wally Joyner drove in 100 runs and topped hitters with significant playing time by hitting .290. Mike Witt led the team with 18 wins, and Kirk McCaskill and Don Sutton added 15 or more victories as well Mike Witt earned a 2.84 ERA, tops among regularly-used pitchers.
