The Redlegs plated 747 runs and allowed 781 runs, most in the league. George Crowe walloped 31 home runs for Cincinnati, while Bob Thurman, Don Hoak, Wally Post, Frank Robinson and Ed Bailey each swatted 20 or more, too. George Crowe drove in 92 runs. Frank Robinson paced all regular batters by connecting at a .322 clip. Brooks Lawrence topped the team with 16 wins and a team-best 3.52 earned run average, leading regularly-used pitchers.
