Bill McKechnie compiled a record of 1896 wins and 1723 losses in his managing career with the Newark Pepper, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Braves, Boston Bees and Cincinnati Reds. He began managing during the 1915 season and last managed during the 1946 campaign. McKechnie was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962.
