Cool Papa Bell compiled a career batting average of .325 with 60 home runs and 606 RBI in his 1237-game career with the St. Louis Stars, Chicago American Giants, Pittsburgh Crawfords, Kansas City Monarchs, Homestead Grays and Detroit Wolves. He began playing during the 1922 season and last took the field during the 1946 campaign. Bell was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974.
