Mule Suttles compiled a career batting average of .339 with 188 home runs and 930 RBI in his 972-game career with the Birmingham Black Barons, St. Louis Stars, Chicago American Giants, Baltimore Black Sox, Washington Pilots, Detroit Wolves, Newark Eagles and New York Black Yankees. He began playing during the 1923 season and last took the field during the 1944 campaign. Suttles was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006.
