The defense proved to be a force, as the Tiger-Cats led the league with just 160 points allowed. Hamilton chalked up 264 points. Dick Cohee carried the ball for a team-high 635 yards, while Bobby Kuntz and Willie Bethea additionally contributed to the rushing attack.
Joe Zuger passed for 1,252 yards. Tommy Grant led pass catchers, grabbing 35 receptions for 683 yards. Hal Patterson provided receiving help, too.
Garney Henley and Don Sutherin each picked off 6 opponent throws.
