The Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League ended the 1983 season with a record of 5 wins and 10 losses and 1 ties for 11 points, finishing third in the CFL's East Division. The team compiled a postseason mark of 1-1.
The Tiger-Cats ran up 389 points, but the shaky defensive squad conceded 498. Tom Clements threw for 2,416 yards, and Dieter Brock played quarterback, too. Keith Baker grabbed 66 receptions, while Ron Johnson contributed 914 receiving yards. Rocky DiPietro and Johnny Shepherd contributed to the receiving game also.
Johnny Shepherd carried the ball for a team-high 1,069 yards for Hamilton.
Felix Wright picked off 6 opponent throws. Grover Covington topped the defensive unit with 10 quarterback sacks.
