The Rough Riders moved the ball well, scoring 411 points, and the defensive squad yielded 346. Tom Clements threw for 2,856 yards. Tony Gabriel led all receivers, grabbing 72 receptions for 1,320 yards. Jim Foley contributed to the receiving game as well.

Arthur Green carried the pigskin for a team-high 1,257 yards for Ottawa.

The opportunistic defense created 64 turnovers, best in the league. Larry Cameron and Peter Stenerson each intercepted 5 opponent throws.

George Brancato coached the team. The 1976 Ottawa Rough Riders won the Grey Cup.
