On offense, the Argonauts scored 660 points, best in the league. Defensively, Toronto conceded 327 points, the lowest total in the circuit. Doug Flutie triggered the aerial attack, passing for 5,720 yards. Michael Clemons paced the receiving corps, snagging 116 passes for 1,268 yards, while Paul Masotti contributed to the receiving game, too.

Robert Drummond carried the ball for a team-best 935 yards, and Doug Flutie also contributed to the rushing attack.

The opportunistic defense manufactured 65 turnovers, best in the league. Adrion Smith and Donald Smith each seized 5 opponent throws. Tim Cofield and Rob Waldrop each sacked opposing passers 9 times.

Don Matthews coached the team. The 1996 Toronto Argonauts won the Grey Cup.
