1896 Texas Association


The 1896 season was the Texas Association's 5th, and 8 teams competed in the league that year. The league began as the Texas-Southern League and was renamed the Texas Association in July. Three separate seasons were played; when Ft. Worth dropped out the championship series, Houston was declared first and second series winner.
