The Albuquerque Dukes of the Pacific Coast League ended the 1983 season with a record of 85 wins and 58 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division.

The Dukes led the league with 960 runs. Albuquerque allowed 842 runs. Sid Bream walloped 32 home runs for the team, while Franklin Stubbs, Germán Rivera and Tony Brewer each swatted 15 or more also. Sid Bream recorded 118 runs batted in. Lemmie Miller paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .330 clip. Rich Rodas topped the team with 16 wins, and Larry White recorded a 3.76 ERA, best among regularly-used pitchers.
