The Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League ended the 2000 season with a record of 78 wins and 61 losses, finishing third in the league's North Division.

The Bluefish scored 762 runs and yielded 685 runs. Oreste Marrero led Bridgeport with 19 home runs and accounted for 85 RBI. Angel Espada paced all regular batters by connecting at a .337 clip. Alan Sontag topped the squad with 13 wins and a team-best 2.7 ERA, best among regular hurlers.

Terry McGriff, José Lind, Sean Mulligan, Alex Cole, Duane Singleton, Víctor Rosario, Joe Crawford and Oreste Marrero were all players from the 2000 Bridgeport Bluefish who played in the Majors during their careers.

Willie Upshaw served as manager.
