The Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League ended the 2002 season with a record of 71 wins and 55 losses, finishing first in the league's North Division.

The Bluefish scored 615 runs and yielded 546 runs. Oreste Marrero paced Bridgeport with 26 home runs, and Juan Rocha walloped 15 or more, too. Oreste Marrero accounted for 67 RBI. Rolo Avila led all regular batters by connecting at a .314 clip. Brad Cornett topped the team with 14 wins and a team-best 3.28 ERA, tops among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
