The Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League ended the 2009 season with a record of 65 wins and 75 losses, finishing third in the league's Liberty Division.

The Bluefish scored 681 runs and allowed 662 runs. Brandon Sing and Jesse Hoorelbeke led Bridgeport with 23 home runs apiece. Brandon Sing drove in 94 runs and topped batters with significant playing time by connecting at a .305 clip. Dan Reichert paced the team with 14 wins, while Esteban Yan recorded a 3.29 ERA, best among qualifying pitchers.
