The Bowling Green Hot Rods of the Midwest League ended the 2011 season with a record of 77 wins and 63 losses, finishing third in the league's Eastern Division.

The Hot Rods scored 645 runs and gave up 599 runs. Derek Dietrich paced Bowling Green with 22 home runs, while Philip Wunderlich walloped 15 or more also. Philip Wunderlich recorded 86 runs batted in. Robby Price led all regular batters with a .283 average. George Jensen topped the squad with 13 wins, and Victor Mateo recorded a 3.99 ERA, tops among qualifying pitchers.
