The Burlington Senators of the Carolina League ended the 1966 season with a record of 76 wins and 62 losses, finishing second in the league's West Division.

The Senators scored 575 runs and allowed 531 runs. Dick Billings paced Burlington with 14 home runs and drove in 70 runs, while leading all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .312 clip. Bill Haywood topped the team with 17 wins, and Rupe Toppin recorded a 2.65 ERA, tops among regular hurlers.
