The Columbus Clippers of the International League ended the 1999 season with a record of 83 wins and 58 losses, finishing first in the league's West Division.

The Clippers tallied 879 runs and yielded 725 runs. Alonzo Powell paced Columbus with 24 home runs, while Bubba Carpenter, D'Angelo Jimenez, Kurt Bierek, Mike Coolbaugh and Tony Tarasco each walloped 15 or more as well. Kurt Bierek drove in 95 runs. Brian Raabe and D'Angelo Jimenez led all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .327 clip. Ed Yarnall topped the squad with 13 wins and a team-best 3.47 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
