The Hornets led the league with just 461 runs allowed. Charlotte scored 601 runs. Joe Pactwa paced the team with 20 home runs, while Bob Storm walloped 15 or more as well. Bob Storm recorded 73 runs batted in. Minnie Mendoza topped all regular batters by connecting at a .316 clip. Dick Rusteck paced the squad with 17 wins, plus Greg Jaycox added 15 or more wins, too Vic Albury recorded a 1.73 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
