The Cedar Rapids Kernels of the Midwest League ended the 2013 season with a record of 88 wins and 50 losses, finishing first in the league's Western Division.

The Kernels paced the league with 752 runs, spearheaded by 108 home runs. Cedar Rapids surrendered 604 runs. Adam Walker led the team with 27 home runs, and Travis Harrison walloped 15 or more also. Adam Walker drove in 109 runs. Jorge Polanco topped hitters with significant playing time with a .308 average. Mason Melotakis paced the squad with 11 wins, while Brett Lee earned a 2.95 ERA, best among qualifying pitchers.

Niko Goodrum, José Berríos, Max Kepler, Tyler Duffey, Mike Pelfrey, Jorge Polanco, Byron Buxton, Taylor Rogers and Chris Mazza were all players from the 2013 Cedar Rapids Kernels who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
