The Clinton LumberKings of the Midwest League ended the 2000 season with a record of 71 wins and 69 losses, finishing fourth in the league's West Division.

The LumberKings scored 655 runs and allowed 641 runs. Samone Peters paced Clinton with 21 home runs, while Ryan Lundquist walloped 15 or more also. Omar Hurtado and Mark Burnett each recorded 65 runs batted in. Andrew Beattie topped hitters with significant playing time by connecting at a .312 clip. Scott Dunn led the squad with 11 wins, and Paul Darnell recorded a 3.52 ERA, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
