The Columbia Mets of the South Atlantic League ended the 1990 season with a record of 83 wins and 60 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division.

The Mets paced the league with 732 runs. Columbia surrendered 603 runs. Mark Thomas and Stan Cameron led the team with 15 home runs apiece. Tim Howard drove in 89 runs and topped batters with significant playing time with a .323 average. Joe McCann and Gregg Langbehn paced the squad with 13 wins each, while Chris Dorn recorded a 2.81 ERA, best among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
