The Cedar Rapids Reds of the Midwest League ended the 1990 season with a record of 88 wins and 46 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division.

The Reds led the league with just 430 runs allowed. Cedar Rapids scored 574 runs. Reggie Sanders paced the team with 17 home runs, and Ed Taubensee walloped 15 or more, too. Reggie Sanders accounted for 63 RBI and topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .285 clip. Mo Sanford and Joe Turek paced the squad with 13 wins each, while Joe Turek earned a 2.34 ERA, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.

Mike Anderson, Bobby Ayala, Jeff Branson, Bill Risley, Reggie Sanders, Mo Sanford, Jerry Spradlin, Glenn Sutko and Ed Taubensee were all players from the 1990 Cedar Rapids Reds who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
