The Durham Bulls of the Carolina League ended the 1964 season with a record of 54 wins and 82 losses, finishing fifth in the league's West Division.

The Bulls scored 590 runs and yielded 785 runs, most in the circuit. Walt Matthews led Durham with 18 home runs and drove in 62 runs. Donald Porter paced all regular batters with a .311 average. Marvin Dutt topped the squad with 11 wins, while James Holbrook registered a 3.44 earned run average, best among qualifying pitchers.

John Hoffman, John Paciorek, Billy Goodman, Conrad Cardinal, Ivan Murrell, Dave Baldwin, Steve Hertz, Carroll Sembera and Leon McFadden were all players from the 1964 Durham Bulls who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
