The Delmarva Shorebirds of the South Atlantic League ended the 2008 season with a record of 78 wins and 61 losses, finishing second in the league's North Division.
The Shorebirds plated 636 runs and yielded 605 runs. Joe Nowicki paced Delmarva with 19 home runs and drove in 78 runs. Ryan Adams led all regular batters by connecting at a .308 clip. Zack Britton and Sean Gleason topped the squad with 12 wins each, while Sean Gleason recorded a 2.64 ERA, tops among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
