The Fresno Grizzlies of the Pacific Coast League ended the 2001 season with a record of 68 wins and 71 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division of the Pacific Conference.

The Grizzlies plated 698 runs and yielded 745 runs. Tony Zuniga paced Fresno with 26 home runs, while Damon Minor, Cody Ransom, Jalal Leach and Dante Powell each walloped 15 or more also. Cody Ransom drove in 78 runs. Damon Minor led hitters with significant playing time by hitting .308. Ryan Jensen topped the squad with 11 wins, and Robbie Crabtree registered a 3.7 earned run average, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
