The Hornets scored 765 runs, most in the league. Greensboro yielded 626 runs, fewest in the league. Matt Winters paced the team with 20 home runs, while Thomas Echstenkamper walloped 15 or more, too. Don Mattingly drove in 105 runs and topped hitters with significant playing time by connecting at a .358 clip.
