The Havana Sugar Kings of the International League ended the 1959 season with a record of 80 wins and 73 losses, finishing third in the IL.

The Sugar Kings plated 547 runs and conceded 598 runs. Rogelio Alvarez paced Havana with 22 home runs, while Tony Gonzalez walloped 20 or more, too. Tony Gonzalez drove in 81 runs and topped all regular batters by connecting at a .300 clip. Ted Wieand led the team with 16 wins, and Walt Craddock recorded a 2.61 ERA, leading regularly-used pitchers.
