The Kannapolis Intimidators of the South Atlantic League ended the 2005 season with a record of 74 wins and 59 losses, finishing third in the league's South Division.

The Intimidators scored 610 runs and gave up 579 runs. David Cook and Josh Hansen led Kannapolis with 24 home runs apiece. Josh Hansen drove in 90 runs. Jose De Los Santos topped all regular hitters with a .294 average. Jack Egbert paced the squad with 10 wins, while Ray Liotta recorded a 2.27 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Lucas Harrell, Chris Getz, Carlos Torres, Aaron Cunningham, Adam Russell, Jack Egbert, Gio Gonzalez, Clayton Richard and Donny Lucy were all players from the 2005 Kannapolis Intimidators who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
