Ryohei Moriya led Kokutetsu with 21 home runs Soichi Fujita drove in 64 runs and topped all regular batters by connecting at a .288 clip. Mototoshi Tahara paced the squad with 13 wins, while Masaichi Kaneda registered a 3.95 earned run average, best among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances. Norio Nishigaki served as manager.
