The Lakewood BlueClaws of the South Atlantic League ended the 2008 season with a record of 80 wins and 60 losses, finishing first in the league's North Division.

The BlueClaws scored 651 runs and gave up 569 runs. Michael Durant led Lakewood with 17 home runs and accounted for 67 RBI. Domonic Brown paced hitters with significant playing time by connecting at a .291 clip, while Julian Sampson topped the squad with 11 wins, and Chance Chapman registered a 2.98 earned run average, best among regular hurlers.
