The Crickets scored 542 runs and allowed 472 runs. Greg Sparks led Lubbock with 16 home runs, and Chris Norton walloped 15 or more, too. Mike Hardge drove in 64 runs and topped hitters with significant playing time by hitting .303. Ron Gerstein paced the team with 14 wins and a team-best 3.56 ERA, best among qualifying pitchers.
