The Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League ended the 2002 season with a record of 65 wins and 61 losses, finishing second in the league's North Division.

The Ducks plated 677 runs and yielded 665 runs. Francisco Morales paced Long Island with 20 home runs, while Pat Lennon walloped 15 or more, too. Francisco Morales recorded 85 runs batted in and topped all regular batters by connecting at a .330 clip. Jason Ryan led the squad with 10 wins and a team-best 5.09 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.
