The Lynchburg Hillcats of the Carolina League ended the 2012 season with a record of 72 wins and 68 losses, finishing first in the league's Northern Division.

The Hillcats scored 590 runs and yielded 585 runs. Edward Salcedo led Lynchburg with 17 home runs, and Adam Milligan walloped 15 or more, too. Edward Salcedo accounted for 61 RBI. Chris Garcia paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .285 clip. Gus Schlosser topped the squad with 13 wins and a team-best 3.38 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
