The Little Rock Travelers of the Southern Association ended the 1953 season with a record of 66 wins and 87 losses, finishing eighth in the SA.

The Travelers scored 643 runs, worst in the league, and conceded 757 runs. Ralph Atkins walloped 34 home runs for Little Rock and drove in 100 runs. David Jaska led all qualifying hitters on the roster with a .329 average. Milo Johnson topped the team with 16 wins and a team-best 3.82 ERA, best among regular hurlers.

Jim Bunning, Frank Bolling, Chick King, Russ Sullivan, John Baumgartner, Carl Linhart, Paul Campbell, George Bullard and Dutch McCall were all players from the 1953 Little Rock Travelers who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
