The Macon Braves of the South Atlantic League ended the 2000 season with a record of 69 wins and 70 losses, finishing fourth in the league's Southern Division.

The Braves plated 626 runs and surrendered 613 runs. Jaeme Leal paced Macon with 16 home runs Jaeme Leal and Justo Rivas each accounted for 65 RBI. Justo Rivas led all regular batters with a .288 average. Matt Butler topped the squad with 13 wins and a team-best 2.94 ERA, tops among qualifying pitchers.

John Ennis, Nick Green, Winston Abreu, Steve Avery, Jung Bong, J. C. Boscán, Matt Belisle and Ben Kozlowski were all players from the 2000 Macon Braves who played in the Majors during their careers.
