The Montgomery Rebels of the South Atlantic League ended the 1954 season with a record of 68 wins and 72 losses, finishing fifth in the SAL.

The Rebels scored 685 runs and yielded 696 runs. Joseph Fuller led all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .345 clip. Stan Johnson topped Montgomery with 15 wins, while Ernest Lawrence registered a 3.55 earned run average, tops among regular hurlers.
