The New Britain Rock Cats of the Eastern League ended the 2009 season with a record of 72 wins and 69 losses, finishing second in the league's Northern Division.

The Rock Cats scored 624 runs and allowed 621 runs. Erik Lis led New Britain with 17 home runs, and Rene Tosoni walloped 15 or more, too. Rene Tosoni drove in 71 runs.
