The Provo Angels of the Pioneer League ended the 2001 season with a record of 53 wins and 23 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division.

The Angels led the circuit with 557 runs, spearheaded by 69 home runs. Provo yielded 365 runs. Sammy Swenson paced the team with 13 home runs and drove in 55 runs. Al Corbeil topped all regular batters with a .359 average. Pedro Liriano paced the squad with 11 wins, while Jason Dennis recorded a 2.06 ERA, leading regular hurlers.

Nick Gorneault, Jeff Mathis, Dallas McPherson, Steven Shell, Steve Andrade, Jake Woods, Pedro Liriano, Casey Kotchman and Ervin Santana were all players from the 2001 Provo Angels who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
