The Pocatello Chiefs of the Pioneer League ended the 1962 season with a record of 63 wins and 66 losses, finishing fourth in the PL.
The Chiefs scored 792 runs and allowed 850 runs, most in the circuit. John Harmon led Pocatello with 27 home runs, while Gage Naudain and Jerry Funk walloped 15 or more also. Jerry Funk drove in 109 runs. John Harmon paced all regular batters by hitting .325. Jim Moser topped the squad with 12 wins and a team-best 3.65 ERA, best among regularly-used pitchers.
Fred Wenz played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Pocatello Chiefs to do so.
