The Potomac Nationals of the Carolina League ended the 2011 season with a record of 68 wins and 71 losses, finishing second in the league's Northern Division.

The Nationals scored 583 runs and conceded 627 runs, most in the circuit. Destin Hood led Potomac with 13 home runs and drove in 83 runs. Eury Pérez paced all qualifying hitters on the roster by connecting at a .283 clip. Paul Demny topped the squad with 10 wins, while Daniel Rosenbaum registered a 2.59 earned run average, best among qualifying pitchers.

Erik Davis, Chad Gaudin, Destin Hood, Jeff Kobernus, Sandy León, Rafael Martín, Garrett Mock, Adrián Nieto, Eury Pérez, Iván Rodríguez, Josh Smoker, Sammy Solís, Steven Souza, Stephen Strasburg, Zach Walters, Chien-Ming Wang and Ryan Zimmerman were all players from the 2011 Potomac Nationals who played in the Majors during their careers.
