The Pensacola Pelicans of the American Association ended the 2009 season with a record of 53 wins and 43 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division.

The Pelicans scored 550 runs and conceded 527 runs. Antoin Gray led Pensacola with 14 home runs and drove in 84 runs. Chase Burch paced all regular batters by connecting at a .341 clip. Randy Beam topped the squad with 10 wins, while Kyle Middleton registered a 1.76 earned run average, best among pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.

Marshall McDougall played in Major League Baseball during his career, the only member of the Pensacola Pelicans to do so.

Talmadge Nunnari served as manager.
