The Portsmouth Tides of the Carolina League ended the 1967 season with a record of 70 wins and 68 losses, finishing fourth in the league's East Division.

The Tides topped the league with just 476 runs allowed. Portsmouth scored 533 runs. Ron Allen led the squad with 24 home runs, while Larry Hisle walloped 15 or more, too. Ron Allen recorded 100 runs batted in. Larry Hisle paced hitters with significant playing time by hitting .302. Jack Nutter paced the squad with 12 wins and a team-best 3.36 ERA, best among qualifying pitchers.
