The Quad Cities River Bandits of the Midwest League ended the 1992 season with a record of 91 wins and 46 losses, finishing first in the league's South Division.

The River Bandits allowed 490 runs, least in the league. Quad Cities plated 648 runs. Mark Sweeney paced the squad with 14 home runs and drove in 76 runs. Orlando Palmeiro topped all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .317. John Fritz led the squad with 20 wins and a team-best 3.03 ERA, leading pitchers with enough qualifying appearances.

Shad Williams, Erik Bennett, Pete Coachman, Orlando Palmeiro, Mark Sweeney, Chris Turner, P. J. Forbes and Chris Pritchett were all players from the 1992 Quad Cities River Bandits who played in the Majors during their careers.
