The Rome Braves of the South Atlantic League ended the 2004 season with a record of 70 wins and 70 losses, finishing third in the league's South Division.

The Braves scored 650 runs and surrendered 694 runs. Matt Esquivel led Rome with 16 home runs, and Scott Schade walloped 15 or more, too. Steve Doetsch drove in 67 runs. Martín Prado paced all regular batters with a .315 average. Chuck James topped the squad with 10 wins and a team-best 2.25 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.
