The Reno Silver Sox of the California League ended the 1970 season with a record of 79 wins and 61 losses, finishing second in the CL.

The Silver Sox tallied 699 runs and gave up 599 runs. Alvin McGrew paced Reno with 15 home runs Jerry Bond and Reggie Thomas each recorded 64 runs batted in. Reggie Thomas led all qualifying hitters on the roster by hitting .286. Rick Sawyer and Rick Hoban topped the squad with 10 wins each, while Bill Tsoukalas registered a 3.3 earned run average, leading regular hurlers.

Jim Kern, Mark Ballinger, Dick Tidrow, Alan Ashby, Larry Johnson, Rick Sawyer and Ralph Gagliano were all players from the 1970 Reno Silver Sox who played in the Majors during their careers.

Merrill May served as manager.
