The Shreveport Captains of the Texas League ended the 1975 season with a record of 76 wins and 52 losses, finishing second in the league's West Division.

The Captains scored 660 runs and allowed 562 runs. Mitchell Page led Shreveport with 23 home runs, while Frank Grundler, Paul Djakonow and William Thomas each walloped 15 or more as well. Mitchell Page drove in 90 runs. Mike Edwards paced batters with significant playing time by connecting at a .304 clip. Timothy Jones topped the team with 16 wins and a team-best 3.03 ERA, best among hurlers with significant time on the mound.

Craig Caskey, Mike Edwards, Jim Geddes, Timothy Jones, Rick Langford, Don Leshnock, Steve Nicosia, Mitchell Page and Jimmy Sexton were all players from the 1975 Shreveport Captains who played in the Major Leagues during their careers.
