The San Antonio Missions of the Texas League ended the 1959 season with a record of 75 wins and 70 losses, finishing fourth in the TL.

The Missions scored 685 runs, worst in the league, and gave up 699 runs. Lee Handley paced San Antonio with 14 home runs Ron Santo recorded 87 runs batted in and topped hitters with significant playing time with a .327 average. José Santiago led the team with 14 wins and a team-best 3.1 earned run average, tops among regular hurlers.

Dick Bertell, Jim Brewer, Sammy Drake, Frank Ernaga, Dave Gerard, John Goetz, J C Hartman, Grady Hatton, Footer Johnson, Lou Johnson, Joe Margoneri, Gordon Massa, Manny Montejo, Nat Peeples, Ron Perranoski, José Santiago, Ron Santo and Billy Williams were all players from the 1959 San Antonio Missions who played in the Majors during their careers.

Grady Hatton served as manager.
