The Missions scored 685 runs, worst in the league, and gave up 699 runs. Lee Handley paced San Antonio with 14 home runs Ron Santo recorded 87 runs batted in and topped hitters with significant playing time with a .327 average. José Santiago led the team with 14 wins and a team-best 3.1 earned run average, tops among regular hurlers.

J C Hartman, Lou Johnson, Gordon Massa, Ron Santo, Billy Williams, Frank Ernaga, José Santiago, Footer Johnson, Grady Hatton, Dick Bertell, Jim Brewer, Nat Peeples, Joe Margoneri, Sammy Drake, John Goetz, Manny Montejo, Dave Gerard and Ron Perranoski were all players from the 1959 San Antonio Missions who played in the Majors during their careers.
