The San Diego Padres of the Pacific Coast League ended the 1954 season with a record of 102 wins and 67 losses, finishing first in the PCL.

The Padres topped the league with 756 runs, spearheaded by 118 home runs. San Diego allowed 622 runs. Earl Rapp paced the team with 24 home runs, while Harry Elliott and Dick Sisler walloped 15 or more as well. Earl Rapp recorded 111 runs batted in. Harry Elliott led hitters with significant playing time by hitting .350. Bob Kerrigan and Bill Wight paced the squad with 17 wins each, plus Eddie Erautt added 15 or more wins, too Bill Wight recorded a 1.93 ERA, tops among qualifying pitchers.
